Adam has always been drawn to sports that involve spandex. He rowed for 11 years, with stops at The Hun School of Princeton, College of the Holy Cross, and Pennsylvania Athletic Club. After three years of unsuccessfully making a national team after college, he decided to switch to triathlon at the encouragement of some friends. He raced half-ironman and Olympic distances for 5 years, racing at the World Championships and National Championships on multiple occasions. He raced in an uber-competitive M25-29 Mid-Atlantic region and earned USAT All American in 2013 and 2014. He completed one full Ironman in the fall of 2013, which was both the best and worst day of his life. For a large portion of the 2014 season, he was unable to run, so he jumped into crit racing, moving from a Cat 5 to a Cat 3 in one season.
After retiring from endurance sports for a year while re-locating from Philadelphia to North Jersey, he decided that bike racing was what was most enjoyable, and decided that it sounded like a good excuse to buy new bikes. He joined Team Hb Hilltop in the spring of 2017. After trying as many permutations of off-road racing as possible, he has decided he’s not an endurance weirdo like Ryan, and will focus on cyclocross and short-track mountain bike racing, as that allows him to best utilize his #watts.
Adam lives with his fiance, Caitlin, their dog, Skylar and kittens Veuve and Pinot, and his 6 bikes.
